vs.
Kelvin "Koncrete" Davis (24-4-2, 17KO).
Final Forum continues its torrid February as another one of our fighters, Darnell "The Ding-A-Ling Man" Wilson (20-5-3, 17KO) will continue to knock out everyone in his path as he takes on former IBF World Champions Kelvin "Koncrete" Davis (24-4-2, 17KO) in another ESPN Friday Night Fights Main Event, live from Scranton, PA. Wilson is coming off two monumental victories in which he was a heavy underdog, knocking out Daniel Judah (23-1-3) in the 4th round and most recently flying to Canada and dominating the "uncrowned champion" Dale Brown (35-5) for the Trans America Cruiserweight Championship with a 2nd round knockout. Final Forum is proud of Darnell's continued success, as promoter Sal Musumeci explains "it's only a matter of time before the world knows who Darnell is and will recognize him as one of the hardest-hitters and most exciting fighters in the Cruiserweight division today."

@ U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
The deal is done! On Friday, December 15, Final Forum Boxing Promotions will put on the very first professional boxing event at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY. It will be held in the Mariner's gymnasium which hold up to 3,000 people. Sal Musumeci, President and CEO of Final Forum, has agreed to donate 500 tickets to the midshipmen of the academy in this historical event.
"These are kids that work very hard and sacrifice themselves for the good of everyone around them," said Musumeci. "They definitely do not have it easy, having to wake up early everyday and be as disciplined as they are at such a young age is admirable to me. These kids go through 4 years of advanced schooling in a 3 year time span, and spend an entire year away from their families out at sea. To be able to be able to give a little back to them truly means the world to me and hopefully this event will be the start of many more between Final Forum and the USMMA."
On the card will be the New York State Heavyweight Champion, Medford, Long Island's Derric Rossy (14-0, 8 KO), fresh off of the biggest win of his career against Shannon Miller (opponent TBD). Also will be Heavyweight contenders Vinny Maddalone (opponent TBD) and Zuri Lawrence(opponent TBD), undefeated female sensation Chika Nakamura, and local favorites Bobby Campbell, Ray Gonzalez, "Russian Twin" Khabir Suleymanov, and pro debut Shawn Boyle.

Undefeated Heavyweight Prospect Derric Rossy of Medford, New York, steps up the competition when he takes on fellow New Yorker and long-time Heavyweight Contender Gary “Bring Da Pain” Bell for the vacant New York State Heavyweight title.
Derric Rossy (9-0 -5 KO’s), a former Boston College defensive lineman will face his toughest opponent and biggest test to date in Bell. Rossy, a rising superstar in the sport of Boxing, though a young and relatively untested fighter, is being touted the best heavyweight prospects to come out of New York in years. Rossy quickly amassed an impressive professional record and is generally considered a top prospect, recently outpointing David Polk (9-3). New England Ringside Promotions president Rick Brutti said, "Rossy is a big, athletic Italian kid who is unlike so many former football players who've turned to boxing. Derric has very quick hands and feet to go along with his obvious power." The fact that he would take on such an esteemed veteran fighter like Bell shows the confidence his management team has in his abilities. Rossy is a 2003 graduate of Boston College where he lettered in football as a lineman and took up boxing shortly thereafter.
Former New York Golden Gloves champion Gary "Bring the Pain" Bell of Brooklyn, NY, in contrast, is a graduate of the school of hard knocks and came for the tough streets of Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York. He has a professional record of (23-2 -18 KO’s) and started his pro Boxing career in 1995 after winning several amateur titles, including the New York Golden Gloves, Metro Games, NYS Silver Gloves and Platinum Gloves. Bell won his first Pro fight by 1st Round knockout against Art Mann. In his professional career, Bell had several impressive 1st round Knockouts highlighted by a 59-second knockout of Jameel McCline in 1995. Bell is credited for preparing Evander Holyfield for his two fights with Mike Tyson, both wins, serving as a longtime Holyfield sparring partner.
The fight has all the ingredients of great drama and is the classic tale of opposites (young versus old, white versus black, college educated versus street educated). At the end of it, one of them will stand up and be crowned the King of New York.
In other action, undefeated sensation Chika Nakamura will look to move further up the ranks as one of the world’s best female boxers. Also fighting are New York’s Julio Cardenas (7-0), Eddie Mansey (1-0), and the pro debut of Ray Gonzalez.
Tickets and information available between noon & 8pm at:
Maxwell & Dunne’s @ 1600 Round Swamp Rd. Plainview, NY 11803
(516) 694-6200.
